Oh. O.o Hmm . . . Well then. I dislike hugs. Well, the occassional hug is ok, but still. O.o
I sort of have teensy panic attacks when hugged. Although it's less severe via the internet. O.o I enjoy staying in character. xD Like on the internet I'll respond to hugs basically the same way that my mind is responding to a real hug. O.o Except sometimes.
I have very specific and odd behavioral issues. That's why I'm starting to write a book called "Emo Express." It's like a guide to my mind. ^^ I'm gunna start writing it today. O.o
i have that problem too.. i have the first part of the first chapter of the book i've been writing in my gallery but unfortunately, that's as far as i've gotten. i've got most of the book planned out, i've just been too lazy to write it >_<

Hehe. I think part of my problem is that I don't feel like writing in English. But that's the only language I know fluently other than Emremasunian and Rukogian. But I wanna write in an actual language, not one I made up. -.- That is epic phail . . .
I need to learn more languages! I'm gunna stop learning Spanish for a while. O.o And concentrate on German and Chinese so I can write stories again without losing interest in what I'm writing. O.o
I lose interest in what I'm writing when I'm not thinking hard enough about it. O.o Like if I'm slightly spaced out and writing at the same time, I'll probably stop. But whatever I'm thinking about has to be on topic or something. And can't be something I can think of too easily. Writing in another language causes me to think more clearly about what I'm writing and keeps my interest.
Sadly, I don't get any actual language classes with actual people teaching me - or actually knowing how to help me. So I'm pretty much all on my own with language-learning. O.o I'm concentrating on Chinese and German. And once I'm fluent enough in Chinese to communicate simple points clearly and write short stories, I'm gunna try my hand on something more difficult - like Japanese or Korean. O.o
chinese is WAY more difficult then japanese! i was learning japanese for a while and it wasn't that bad.. but chinese is just a mystery wrapped in an enigma for me.. my dad's wife is chinese and every once in a while i have her teach me something but that's about all i can handle. chinese is really effin hard.

Actually, you're probably looking at Chinese wrong. I looked at Chinese wrong at first, and then I started looking at it at different angles. Now it's pretty easy! Ok. Here's the better way to look at it. First of all, it's probably a good idea to get friends who also speak the same dialect as you're learning. That's the hard part, really. Ok. Then you gotta find something to learn from - some people work better just learning from the books and stuff. Just hand them a few lists and they'll figure it all out themselves. I'm that kind of person, but you might not be. So it's easy to just find that kind of person to help organize everything for you. xD Ok. So, now I'll list a few easy things about chinese.
First of all, their verbs don't change . . . you gotta use a lot of context clues to figure everything out, but there are plenty of context clues in the sentences, when you're good enough to use it, y'know? So anyways. Next, they don't do plurals. Plurals are the same as singular (when spoken). So more context clues. Now are you starting to see why English is so hard to Chinese people to learn? Hehe. So anyways. Those things make it easier 'cause you have less words to learn! O.O
Ok. I learn Cantonese (which I find a lot easier and more beautiful than Mandarin). Cantonese uses the traditional writing rather than the simplified - which actually makes writing it a lot easier than writing Mandarin. Now, simplified writing is suppose to make it easier to learn, but the thing is, with simplified, it's a lot harder to find patterns and stuff. Even though each character is one word, if you look closer, there are smaller characters inside each more complex character.
If you learn the simpliest characters, then the more complex characters are easier. But that's harder to do with simplified writing 'cause everything is all blended together and simplified, y'know?
Now. I'm mostly just explaining writing here, 'cause that's what most people mean when they say that Chinese is super-hard. Anyways. you know how each character is a word, right? But sometimes it takes more than one character to make up one word. You have to memorize these, but it's super easy if you know what each character in the phrase means before learning what word the whole phrase makes up. O.o
All this sounds really hard, but actually it's rather easy. Plus, you can't just go around memorizing random words. You gotta memorize words that relate to eachother - that fit together. Like first learning numbers, and then learning words that you can use the numbers with. Like dates and times and such.
It's pretty easy. But Japanese is harder because of the grammar and such - Japanese grammar is far more complex than Chinese grammar. Plus Japanese uses some Chinese characters in addition with their own sylabary. So that also makes it a little harder. O.o
I've been doing rather well in Chinese - and I'm getting futher than I ever got learning Japanese.
I'm learning Cantonese off these sites: www.cantonese.sheik.co.uk and www.cantonese.ca/index.html
Those provide lists, helpful notes, and voice clips. O.o
wow, it seems like you're doing pretty well. i think i'll stick to japanese though
there's talk of my fiance and i going to japan for our honeymoon and i think it would nice to actually know the language if we do go.
~christine~
Yeah. And not fangirl-ish. O.o I'm sick of fangirls abusing the Japanese language, assuming all Asians are Japanese, and thinking they know everything about Japan - when obviously they don't! O.O
And they don't listen to correction either. O.o They're like "Kawaii desu desu?" and I'm like "HUH?! THAT'S NOT A PROPER QUESTION! DIE!" And they're always going like "Hai!" and I'm like "THAT IS THE ANSWER TO A QUESTION! NOT A GREETING!"
haha i know exactly what you mean.
the only knowledge they have of the japanese language they get off of anime. they don't bother to take any classes or read any books on the subject. it bothers me too when i hear someone say "konnichi wa" and they think it means "hi" or "hello" when it means "good afternoon" or when people slaughter pronounciation like "ka-muh-kah-zee" >_<
~christine~
Hehe. Actually, Konnichi wa can be used as both "hello" and "good afternoon." But it's still annoying when they use it annoyingly. O.o That's like THE Japanese word one cannot mess up . . . and those fangirls manage to slaughter it. O.o It's horrible.
